Biography

Reggie is a DJ at WERQ, 92Q, the top hip hop radio station in Baltimore. The vast career of the radio personality/ mixer, affectionately known as the God-Father, Reggie Reg started in Baltimore, MD in the late 1970's. Since Junior High, Reggie spent a great deal of his time listening to the music of the era. Being an avid fan of groups such as Cameo, The Barkays and Sugar Hill, Reggie eagerly attempted to combine the elements of diverse musical influences into different and exciting new forms. Around this time a neighbor by the name of Donnell invited Reggie to his home, which would later prove to be a defining moment in his career. Donnell introduced Reggie to the DJ technique known as "pause mixing" as well as the traditional two turntables. He proceeded to learn this technique and began creating his own mixes and together Reggie and Donnell became known as "Reg-oo and Deno".

As time progressed, he found himself working with a group known as "The Mix-Masters", which was comprised of Skeet-T, Ron D, and Donald D. They performed at house parties, and along the way, Skeet-T helped Reggie to refine and develop his mixing and cutting skills and other tricks of the trade. Eventually he competed in mixing contents and toured with a group called the "Z-3MC's”. One of the highlights of his career was playing L.L.Cool J's 18th Birthday party.
